3rd INTERNATIONAL SHORT COMIC FILM FESTIVAL
August 2010 - Viagrande, Catania, Sicily, Italy. Presenting the third edition of the International Short Comic Film Festival "State aKorti”. This unique festival will be held August 2010 in Viagrande, province of Catania, Sicily, Italy.
As with previous editions, it will be organized by SK Studio and DIBO events, which have received critical acclaim and attention. Submissions must be of the Comic (humor) genre and may be shot in any format and technique, including animation, video clips, movies made with mobile phones, photo slide-shows as well as anything that falls within the broad category of audiovisual. Entries are limited to a maximum duration of 8 minutes and must not have been presented in previous editions of the competition.
"State aKorti" is open to all film makers and directors of all nationalities, Italian and foreign.
Submissions received will be judged by a panel of experts, journalists and critics of the genre, which will give two awards: the sum of 500 euros for the best short film; and 150 euros for the best original score.
The competition is organized in collaboration with: AperitivoCorto (National circuit of short films) that will present the best works throughout Italy; Ustation, the university media network, which may also cast votes; and Radio Zammů, (web radio of the University of Catania).
The organizing committee will consider producing a DVD featuring the best short films based on the quality of the works participating in the festival.
The festival will take place during August, 2010 at Villa Di Bella, in Viagrande, (province of Catania).
As with every year, the organizers will accommodate a group that supports humanitarian efforts.
The competition is free. The regulations (published in four languages) are available on the sites www.dibo.it and www.skstudio.it .
