Lake Cop 2: Ripple Effect Independent Film

From the people who brought you "Lake Cop I: Breakwater", comes an adventure so great, it'll blow you out of the water. Set on the US/Canada border, LC2: RE is about a radical environmentalist law enforcer who brings his absurd brand of vigilante justice on self-propelled water-skis and stirs up the waters in the rural community of Rainy Lake. “Who is this guy!?” decries the police commissioner. He’s a cop… on a lake… and he leaves a path of destruction in his wake. This summer… one man, will enforce the lake law, by breaking it. Hold on to your speedos.

I'm currently seeking a producer that will share a passion for this project with me (the writer). This is a small scale high-concept action-comedy venture with huge potential and North America marketability. Shooting would hopefully take place summer 2011, so it is still an early stage to acquire financing and a build a production team. The script is ready to go!

I usually watch indie film trailers, like my own, to study them. Hopefully I can decipher what sets our small budget indie films apart from the big budget ones. Typically they are good quality, but not too intruiging.
This trailer kept me laughing all the way through. When it first started, I thought "here we go", but when I realized what you were doing and that it was a comedy, I laughed my ass off.
I will be sure to forward this to everyone I know.

Award Winning Film !

I've been involved in the independent film industry for the past 10 years and have seen hundreds of films - literally ! When the trailer for "Lake Cop" was screened at the CSC (Celluloid Social Club) several weeks ago - the audience LOVED IT ! The entire theatre erupted in a ROAR of LAUGHTER and APPLAUSE ! I have NEVER seen any film at the CSC have such a totally positive reaction !! The energy, drama and humour of the trailer, when carried through the entire feature, will undoubtedly make this an award winning film ! I can very easily see it being screened at film festivals all over the world and in movie theatres, too ! I very strongly suspect this will be a very successful film !
