Mayflower! Independent Film

They're not crossing the Atlantic, but be prepared for the voyage... a lot can happen in one day at the Mayflower! Bar
'No game' Marcus is the Mayflower! Bar's only regular customer and he doesn't even drink. LaMont, Marcus' best friend and the only employee of the bar, has everything in order, but his music career. In one wild day at the Mayflower!, everything will change.

We begin with a typical morning at the Mayflower bar with Marcus arriving to hang out with his best friend LaMont. After teasing Marcus about his failed past dating, Chris, the owner, and Lamont are challenged to a bet by Marcus that the next woman through the doors...he'll go out with. Fortunately for him, it's not Sasquatch, it's the gorgeous Rhonda, who quickly diffuses his lame pickup. She says she's a prostitute and would gladly go out with him for $1000. Rhonda flutters away, but Marcus is hooked, undaunted by her profession and devoted to getting $1000.

Chris promises the day's take if LaMont will perform. Reluctantly LaMont agrees to help raise the money.

Soon, the boys are in promotion mode, which means they aren't doing much at all. Passing out fliers and harassing the town folk. Chris has sidetracked into his own campaign to invent a new drink. Mary Poppins, and won't rest until he discovers something strong enough to produce hallucinatory cartoon animals. Soon, Chris is smashed, LaMont is withdrawing into negativity about everything, and Marcus is losing whatever confidence he had. But a lot changes in a day at the Mayflower!.

I had no idea it was feasible to get a handle on film finance myself and was really inspired to see that I don't have to be a writer hawking scripts until I die, I could actually make the film.quoted text
