ZOMEDY Independent Film
As you can guess by the title that our project is a horror comedy but it also has a strong character driven storyline. My name is Michael Clark and I am the writer and director of a new feature film called "Zomedy".
Zomedy follows the storyline of three separate groups of people trying cope with their real lives while also trying to survive a strange chemical spill in the local lake.
Charley Jacobs tries to mend fences with his eleven year old son Josh. Charley volunteers to be a weekend camp ranger for his sons Wilderness scouts troop which is located on the shores of the infected lake. Can he win back his sons affections while saving the boys from the onslaught of the walking dead?
Bobby Michaels has come into some serious money after the loss of his beloved mother. Can his new mail order bride prove that money can buy happiness? or will the events unfolding in the small town of Hello lake change his perspective?
Father Jacob Merle has been having second thoughts about his decision to serve God. The arrival of an old high school friend Kelly Patterson has complicated matters even more. Will the zombie invasion shed light on his faith or darken his spirits?
Follow all this along with zombie deer, attack ducks and a squirrel on a skateboard in this hilarious new feature film.
The screenplay has been receiving tremendous buzz around town and has helped land entertainment lawyer Mike Novak (Kid Rock, Bob Seger, Ted Nugent). Signed on as producer is Dave Krieger, fresh off films such as " Alls fair in love" and Jonathan Hensliegh's "The Irishman". We have signed Emmy award winning Chuck Grady as our director of photography and are currently staffing the remainder of the crew.
The estimated budget of Zomedy is $550,000. Coupled with the attractive 40% tax rebate incentive offered by the state of Michigan makes the chances of profit even more likely. We currently have a letter of intent from Global Finance for $150,000 and are looking for another $400k to finish funding of this project.
The solid track record of profitable returns on the horror genre and the strength of the script has us very excited that this will be a real money maker.
We are looking to offer 40 shares in this project at $10,000 each with a return of initial investment and 25% profit.
