"He is not Leonardo da Vinci, neither Socrates nor Aurobindo Ghose or Swami Vivekananda. He has his own name and own tale to say." This is a fiction, which revolves round a boy's flashback life named Subhodeep Kumar Debchoudhory.

The novel begins with the year 2005 with a scene of the Great Exhibition at Crystal Palace, Hyde Park, London which was once inaugurated by Prince Albert long back in order to show the British materialistic supremacy. Queen Elizabeth presides over the exhibition where many countries have been participating since past with their inventions an discoveries. On 2005, India first came up with her discovery and it was an old pair of shoe.
This pair of shoe is the main basis of the whole story. The main story-line is a flashback which takes us to the year 1944, pre-independence period. Subhodeep faces extreme twists and misery in his life. He had been failure all his life. But during his last breathe, the shoe proves his victory. He lives short, but he becomes the symbol of moral India by his thought and his own rules. He travels England to bring back for Indians the happiness and the soul of independence in exchange with what British took from India for their soil; and to British he teach them moral chapters to shun colonialism.
