MAN-OH-MAN

MAN-OH-MAN

A DRAMA Inspired by True Events about the personal struggle of a Male Soldier to come to terms with, and overcome the devastation and aftereffects, of a Man-ON-Man sexual assault.

Men are at a disadvantage; particularly men immersed in a macho military culture. Bottom line: "It can’t happen to me."

“Take advantage of the enemy's unpreparedness, travel by unexpected routes, and strike him where he has taken no precautions.” (The Sun Tzu)

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN A SOLDIER (THE QUINTESSENTIAL FIGHTING MACHINE) IS RAPED, DISCREDITED, and DISCHARGED FROM THE ARMY?

He goes on a vengeful spree: fucking people up, blowing up shit, and shaking the military to its core

“This crime turns a soldier’s dream of rendering distinguished service to his country and flag into a hellacious nightmare that he’s not trained to confront.

I experienced physical violence of a sexual nature while on active duty.

Fearing retaliation, reprisal, and accusations of fraternizing, I did not report the incident at the time.

Quite frankly I thought, nobody gives a rat's ass about a man when thousands of women are attacked day after day.

I did things to prove I was a man. How tough I was.... some I’m not proud of.

Imagine what Pee Wee Herman would be like in Hulk Hogan’s body. That’s how I felt.

With no where to turn, I went on a-wol binges, that resulted in an expeditious separation and honorable discharge from the United States Army.

I have been diagnosed by a VA System psychiatrist, with classic Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.”

United States Army Specialist, Sentinel, Honor Guard, Daniel R. Murphy – Arlington, Virginia, 1980

RAPE MAKES A MAN SOLDIER WANT TO FIND THE PERSON WHO DID IT, AND SHOVE A BAYONET SO FOR FAR UP HIS ASS, THAT HE’LL SPIT STEEL…

  • Just want to thank you for your materials and help over the past year. I could not have raised the $1.5 million or made this film without the materials you provided -- and for $99? The bargain of my career!

  • I'm now sending out my completed business plan/film proposal document to potential investors and the one comment I'm getting back almost immediately is that it's so well laid out and professional. Believe me, first impressions really do count.

    Kathleen
  • This is perfect! I have potential investors but I had no idea how to prepare a professional investment package to present to them. (I'm an artiste', not a business person. :) ) The information is clear and easy to understand, and Melissa is very prompt in answering emails.

  • When I came across the Business Plan Tools and the Finance Guide, I felt like I could stop searching for the pot of gold...I’d found it. In one place, with clear, easy to follow materials and spreadsheets, my questions were answered.

    Barry, Filmmaker
  • Hi Melissa! I purchased Package #3 a couple of days ago, and I feel like I'm taking a crash course in film financing. So far, what I've read and learned has been invaluable. Thank you!

    Emily
  • I've made short films before, but this is my first feature, and the first film I've tried raising money for. This template, actually the whole package, has been invaluable and well worth the money I spent on it. So much information is packed into what I got that I'm almost dizzy from it all.
