Two brothers, one a devout priest and the other a revolutionary, struggle to overcome the devastating influence of their violent, militaristic father. Their story becomes a microcosm for the era, in which myths became reality and the limits of the American dream exploded to encompass the the beauty of nature and vast stretches of open highway, the inner reaches of the mind and worlds beyond our own.



Director's Statement:
I began writing the script last summer, but have been working on the project for about a year and a half. The idea began as two brothers having a conflict on a hilltop and evolved into a reworking of biblical and mythological themes. It was important to set the film in the 1960s because that was a time when the mythic imagination was reawakened in the
American culture. It was a time of radical change and exploration of inner and outer realities, human consciousness and space. These dynamics serve as a backdrop for an intensely personal story that follows two brothers.

Our Story:
We are putting together a micro-budget indie that takes place in the 1960s around the time of the Woodstock Music Festival and the Apollo 11 Moon Landing. At this time, we have completed roughly half of the film's principal photography but now need to increase our budget in order to cross the finish line and complete the film we set out to make. Filming is shot in and around Sonoma County, using local actors and crew.
